The Game

GL-117 is an action flight simulator for Linux/Unix and MSWindows. Enter the Eagle Squadron and succeed in several challanging missions leading though different landscapes. Five predefined levels of video quality and an amount of viewing ranges let you perfectly adjust the game to the performance of your system. Joystick, mouse, sound effects, music...



This game has been developed in the years 2002-2004 and is intended to run on NVidia TNT2 or GeForce2+. The latest CVS snapshot on SourceForce has been refactored to clean C++ code for a 2.0 version. However, due to changes in graphics programming, two years after the 1.3.2 release, a complete rewrite of the graphics engine would have been necessary. As the main developer is no more a student, this project has been abandoned since then. Sorry, but I hope you can still enjoy and play gl-117. Many, many thanks to all contributors! :-)

What's going

Time to say thanks to all people who have contributed to the game. Sorry, if I have not answered all your mails - at least I am trying to. Currently, there is a lot of work to do: we are restructuring and rewriting the complete code in our free time. Developers, please use's CVS in order to get the new sources. The old code of 1.x versions will not be supported nor updated any more. More about developing...
